Got ghosted by a girl who seemed genuinely interested — what happened?
I’ve been texting this girl for about a week, and everything felt like it was going really well. She’s white, and she was actually the one who asked for my number. She always came back when she said “be right back”, she asked about my day, sent me a selfie, shared her Spotify playlist, replied really fast — everything felt great.
For context, I’m Chinese-Indonesian, and what surprised me was that she knows a lot about Indonesia and speaks fluent Indonesian. She told me she was on holiday, so I texted her saying she could reply later and enjoy her time with her friends first. When I asked whether she had arrived safely at her destination, she even sent me her current location without me asking.
But after that message, she just… stopped replying. It’s been two days.
What confuses me is that she’s still active online — she watched my Instagram story, posted her own story, and even changed her WhatsApp profile picture — but she hasn’t replied to my message at all (she left me on read).
I’m not sure why she suddenly went quiet when everything felt so positive.
Did I miss something?
