Is a tech career worth it, Today??

In this community I know we have employers, employees, freelancers and all walks of people in tech. We have people who mainly focus on remote roles and they get them, others earn through employment and there's guys who would rather be self employed but most of you are earning one way or the other.

I came into tech for fun doing some fun projects here and there but before I could learn the craft AI came to be and now I mainly just know the basics. AI came with some comfort that made me lazy to learn. 70% of us can't write code from of the dome ni lazima we consult with ai hapa na pale.

The AI trend came along with this fad of startups, everyone felt like they could be the next Zuckerberg then AI companies started implementing most of these startup ideas and that fad is fading day by day... I see this as a representation of how maybe developer jobs might be going to the dumps, but I might be wrong and that's why I am here. To ask the veterans if development generally is still a good career choice to pursue?? If yes why if not also why?

What development roles are dying and what roles are we to excpect companies to hire for in the future. We should have a discussion about such things, because honestly I am a techie still in school though but I would like to start specializing for when I am done with campus nijue what roles to apply for. As of now I dabble in a little bit of everything. Kama ukona advice help a brother out.

If you could permanently eliminate one minor, daily annoyance from your life but it has to be replaced by another. What trade are you making?

Hypothetically let's say you never have to deal with a tangled cord or cable ever again, but in exchanges, your pillow is always slightly warm on both sides.

Or trading never stubing your toe ever again with occasionally hitting a door frame with your shoulder when walking through it.

What is that minor everyday annoyance you would absolutely pay to get rid of, and what is that harmless quirk you would accept in it's place?

If you had to pick one specific sound effect to play every time you enter a room, what sound are you choosing?

Not a full song just a sound effect maybe one that lasts 2 seconds. Good examples are like a swoosh for a dramatic reality-tv, a classic 90s sitcom applause, a subtle video gamer power-up sound, or something chaotic like a single duck quack.

I think I'd go with the Legend of zelda "found an item" chime just to bring a little unearned triumph to walking into the kitchen. What's your entrance audio?
