3 Weeks Post Op - Sydney AUS

Hey guys, 43 y/o bloke in Sydney. I am 3 weeks post op today and finally able to get out and about. I am still a little swollen and it’s extremely hard to hide the budge but I was going crazy being at home for three weeks straight and needed to get out.

The pain was manageable, I didn’t realise that the majority of pain (for me) would come from the scrotum. I thought it would be in the shaft as that’s where the tubes are. Standing up for longer than 10 mins was really uncomfortable, and every day a pain or discomfort got better but every day introduced a new pain or discomfort but things have finally settled down.

This week I see the doctor for my first inflation. I’m still a little swollen and tender. The area around the incision is still a little puffy. I can’t fully retract my foreskin like I was able to pre op while flaccid. I’m assuming that get better with time I will be able to.

I’m bracing myself for loss of size, I think that’s a normal reaction. But for me it was 4 yrs since my last natural erection so I really don’t recall my erect size besides the odd dick pic I’ve taken. So hopefully I’ll be happy with a working penis over size anyway.

For those with a titan, how long did it take for the pump and tubes to soften. I’ve also read that after cycling for 12 months you get back to your pre-op erect size… for me since I don’t remember… I assume at the 12 month mark I’ll reach my full potential.

4 days post op - Sydney, AU

Hi everyone, I’m four days post-op and was discharged from hospital yesterday. The pain is manageable with paracetamol. I’m incredibly swollen and it looks a bit messy down there, but I’m getting up for a short walk every hour or so and gently tugging on the bulb every few hours as advised by the urologist to keep it in place in my scrotum.

I’m glad the surgery is over and I’m now on the road to recovery. I’m still a bit anxious, especially since I’m diabetic and need to be extra cautious for a few weeks to reduce the risk of infection.

I have private health insurance in Australia and the whole thing cost me about $18,000. There are cheaper doctors out there, but I had my reasons. I preferred a private room for my recovery in hospital, but I ended up in a shared room, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. My neighbour also had the same surgery. I’m in my early 40s and he was in his mid-30s. Being able to spend 48 hours with someone who had just gone through the same thing was comforting. We both experienced similar pain, swelling, drainage and constipation, so it made everything feel less dramatic knowing I wasn’t alone. We even got to show each other the finished product. He was cut and I was uncut and we could see the same bruising etc.

I got a 24cm +1 and he got a 22cm. We both got Titans. I’m not entirely sure what the sizing means.

For those in Australia, a rough indication of pricing was $18,000 all-in. My neighbour didn’t have any health insurance and he ended up paying $33,000.

Aussies.. pay for your implant with Super

Hi (Aussie) guys, something I wasn’t aware of but have taken advantage of was using my Superannuation to pay for my surgery which is scheduled later this month. Obviously everyone’s situation is different and it is NOT recommended to touch your super… but you can… under medical compassionate grounds.

Whilst I’ve been saving for a while, For me the $18K fee wasn’t something I could afford (and that’s with having health insurance) and like many of us, our lives are impacted heavily with ED, our relationships are on the brink of failure and our mental health is permanently scarred. So if the only thing holding you back is the financials maybe look into it.. and see if it’s a suitable option for you. There are tax implications etc so you’ll need to be aware of what they are.

There surgery itself is costing me 15.5K plus my hospital excess and anaesthetic fees. I know there are other good doctors charge around the 10K mark but for me, how comfortable I was with the doctor was the reason why I decided to proceed with him. Implants are his core focus and on my surgery day 5 other men are booked in for the same day.
