Hello guys, so in 5 days I will have a surgery to put an AMS 700 implant
I am 24 years old and I have a venous leak.
My biggest concern is risk of infection and recovery overall
Do you guys have any tips? How is the recovery ?
If it infects I have to remove the implant? It will cost me 12k, and I don’t have money for another surgery for the next months.
Edit: I have a varicocele, it was diagnosed during an exam years ago. But I don’t have any symptoms of it.
Could that be a problem to my surgery?
Edit 2: I’m in Portugal
WOW the inches that I'm reading that people have lost is starting to put me off my upcoming operation as I'm 5 1/2 inches just now flacid, don't know how it correlates to what you can't see but I was measured flacid at 14 cm so potentially I could lose 2 inches and I hear everyone saying better having a hard one than a soft one but let's face it what are you meant to do with 3 inches
Guys it has been 54 days today i have been implanted by Dr Raman Tanwar in New Delhi with Promedon Tube
Initial days i only faced minor discomfort
I never had any pain
Sex has been good so far
Concealment is easy as i have a very loose ligament
I can put it at 6 o clock easily
Infact how ever i keep it it goes down only
I was cleared at day 27 to start the activity
Have had it with minimum 15 women till now
In the beginning my length and girth were 6.5 and 5.4
But i have been noticing that i am losing girth now
It has come down to 5.1
Near glans i am 4.8
Can anybody with a malleable tell me what to expect ahead ??
Will i keep losing girth or will i get it back??
As Doctor had said that u will get 5.5 girth as he had shown immediately after surgery
Also i tell u i do ved once a week for 30 mins take tadalafil twice a week and L argenine twice everyday??
Will atrophy still occur??
My cause of ed is unknown
Mostly neurological what doctor suspects
I’m 6 days post op and my cylinders are 100% deflated like a flat garden hose and feeling quite uncomfortable while trying to heal and I can feel the edges poking out as the cylinders bend
For anyone who has a Coloplast titan implanted when u press the deflate button does all of the fluid return to the reservoir or partially filled i believe the cylinders are flat as I’ve been positioning the penis at 12oclock position which has push led the fluid out
I just have a few questions and would like honest positive feedback please
After suffering from erectile dysfunction for about 16 years and after trying everything else, I decided to get the Titan implant. I’m about 3 1/2 weeks post-op. I’ve definitely lost length and girth. I’m just curious if anyone has been able to get back to or close to where they were before the implant? My doctor has given me the OK to start cycling and even having sex, I’ve tried cycling a few times and it’s just too painful. Does that subside eventually, I can get about seven or eight pumps before it’s really uncomfortable and with that it’s only about 5 1/2 inches and before I was about 8 1/4, will cycling become easier and will I be able to pump more?
I’m pretty sure a lot of these questions are pretty redundant to a lot of you guys and they’ve probably answered in other post I just wanted to create my own I guess.
Thank you all for listening if you do and best of luck in your future endeavors!
Anyone have personal experiences as far as girth and head size?
Thanks in advance.
For seven years, from the very beginning of my sex life, I struggled with erectile dysfunction. I had dozens and dozens of failed sexual experiences, tried pretty much every ED medication available, saw three urologists and around ten different doctors, and spent years obsessively trying to fix the problem.
I changed my lifestyle in every way I could think of. I exercised, cleaned up my diet, experimented with vitamins and supplements, tried to reduce my exposure to endocrine disruptors, improved my sleep, you name it. I honestly couldn't list everything I've tried over the years. Finding a solution became an obsession.
Eventually, I became convinced that a penile implant was my only option. One urologist even agreed and told me I was a good candidate if I wanted to move forward.
Looking back now, I'm incredibly grateful that I didn't do it.
About five months ago, I met my girlfriend.
From our very first conversations, I was honest about my ED. Instead of making me feel ashamed, she made me feel completely safe. There was no pressure to perform, no judgment, and we approached the problem together. We experimented, communicated openly, and found what worked for us. Stopping condoms also made a noticeable difference.
Today, I have what I would consider a normal and fulfilling sex life.
I still have occasional issues getting fully hard, probably around one out of every four or 5 times we have sex. But it no longer ruins the experience, and it no longer defines my life. I believe my ED was never purely physical or purely psychological. It was a combination of both, and many years of prone masturbation was maybe the cause.
I'm not posting this to tell anyone not to get an implant. I know penile implants completely change some men's lives, especially those with severe organic ED, and I have nothing but respect for that decision.
I'm only sharing this for people who are in the same position I was: younger men who are wondering whether they should jump to an implant after years of frustration.
If you haven't yet experienced a stable, supportive relationship where your partner knows about your ED, doesn't judge you, and is willing to work through it with you, I personally think it's worth giving yourself that chance before making an irreversible decision.
I'm incredibly thankful that I waited long enough to discover that before going through with surgery.
HI All - Thanks so much for all the information you share here, it’s been very helpful.
My Dr is requiring a Cytoscopy on my pre-surgery list. It’s the last step of my approval for implant on the 13th (😬) The office said it’s up to me if I want Gas. I don’t normally have medical anxiety, but I am wondering if I should take the Gas or should I be able to tough it out?
If you‘ve had this procedure can you share your experience?
How did your wife/girlfriend feel and supported you about getting a IPP surgery?
is it Normal ?
I'm assuming that around the 10-15 year mark that you have to repay full price with or without insurance for a new replacement for IPP surgery...
But do you pay full price if there was a mechanical issue in a short time frame for IPP surgery cost?
Hi to all
I am 33 year old male from india and I am struggling with severe ed as long as I remember
I had gone to doctor he told me that I have neurogenic ed so only option is penile implant for me
Now I have few questions and I am planning for malleable implant as in my country it is not included so I cannot afford 3 piece
so mine erect length is 16.5 cm Bonepressed but mine spl is 18.5 cm and I have heard that final length is considered by spl so what final I can get ?
I am heavy smoker and porn addict
But there is no bend in my penis no curvature so I suppose I donot have peyronies and severe fibrosis
Because I have heard it leads to much of size loss
whenever I had sex with someone I need to take atleast 300 mg of viagra
So does implant will provide better hardness and rigidity then which comes from medicine
and I can have sex without arousal and natural erection after having implant does it will make my penis short if donot have both
Kindly give me your feedback
I know nobody asked, but figured I'd share an update on my recent surgery anyway. 😀 I'm 9 days post-op, I have an AMS 700 LGX 18cm with a 2.5cm RTE. First bite was a bit rough as I had some severe abdominal pain, but after that all is going as expected.
First few days I had to use tramadol but stopped that on day three and only using Tylenol and occasional Advil for pain control. Just yesterday my scrotum actually began to look normal again although much larger than it used to be - you know, down from the size of a small watermelon to the size of a large orange. At this point the only pain are occasional shooting pains in the shaft and I have a hard time walking to the bottom of the scrotum feels like it's burning, so I spend probably too much time in my recliner or bed. But it is getting better
Saw the doctor on Wednesday and he said everything looks great. I should come back in 2 weeks and we'll start making sure all the parts are in the right place.
Thanks again to all the members here who help me feel a whole lot better before I did this
I’m looking to hear from anyone who’s experienced a similar issue with the distal tips of their inflatable penile implant.
I’m about 4 weeks out from receiving a Coloplast Titan (24 cm). Since surgery, I’ve been able to clearly feel the distal ends of both cylinders just beneath the glans. The left distal tip feels noticeably higher but good position while right size is lower and pushes out to edge.
What concerns me most is the support under the glans. On the underside of the penis where the shaft meets the head, I can feel what seems like a gap or lack of support on right side, as if this side isn’t supporting the glans. Visually, it appears that the left cylinder is providing more support while the right side feels like it sits lower and farther toward the outside edge of the glans instead of directly underneath it.
Because of that, the left side is pushing the glans upward while the right side isn’t providing the same support. My glans consistently angles and rotates to the left while flaccid and the right side of head just pulls left and looks deformed when inflated.
Fully inflated, feels like the tissue on the right side is being stretched rather than supported, which is why I’ve started wondering if the distal support is uneven. I can feel it more during sex too which doesn’t feel great, so deflating some for comfort.
My surgeon has advised waiting until around the 3-month mark before deciding whether anything needs to be addressed, and I understand healing can change a lot over that time. I’m trying to be patient, but I’m curious whether anyone else experienced something similar.
For anyone who’s been through this:
Were you able to feel both distal cylinder tips under the glans?
Did one distal tip seem higher or farther forward than the other?
Did you notice a gap or lack of support beneath part of the glans?
Did your glans angle or rotate because of uneven support?
Did things improve with healing and cycling, or did it ultimately turn out to be a cylinder positioning issue?
If you needed a revision, what was corrected and how were your results afterward?
I’m not looking for anyone to diagnose me. I’m simply trying to understand whether others have experienced this, whether it improved over time, and what the eventual outcome was.
Thanks, I really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s dealt with something similar.
I don’t need implant but out of curiosity i read many testimonies from this sub Reddit, at first I thought that having implant js something shameful but I realised that’s far from the truth, I mean this thing changed the life’s of many peoples, and I don’t even know why people try to use pills or injection when you can have an implant, if money is not a problem, even as not having ED, I would do it, that’s the dream for a man to be able to have a boner that can lasts for hours, if you love sex and women’s, you shouldn’t even wait to have it. Even if you don’t have ED, you’re still limited, I mean if you want to switch position often, holding your wife and last for more 30min, you cannot, you will lose firmness, but with an implant, you don’t have this problem (or injection/pills).
That’s why I saw many people that have ED and being anxious about having a implant, you shouldn’t, just do it, even some pornstar got implanted, because using pills (even if you don’t have Ed, to be able to last 30 min and switch oftens positions, you need injection and pills, it’s not possible to do it naturally, cause firmness will be lost no matter what)
First post here but wanted to say thanks to all who post here. It's been enlightening and has me prepared for the next phase of my years long recovery.
For background I'm 61 and was diagnosed with rectal cancer 3 1/2 years ago. I had APR surgery (they took out my rectum, anus, sphincter and sigmoid colon and sewed up the back end) and have a permanent ostomy bag as a result. Between the radiation therapy and the nerve damage from the surgery, junior stopped working entirely. Started doing injections which worked great until scar tissue developed from injecting so often, leaving me with an almost C shaped member when hard. Good news is I've been cancer free for almost three years and the ostomy bag has become a non-issue (and any danger of skid marks is completely eliminated.....:)
Chemotherapy causes major dental issues so six months ago I had full upper arch implants so now I have a bionic mouth, a bionic "waste disposal system" and next week will have a bionic little fella too.
Wife is more excited than I am, she keeps saying that she's gonna be the pump manager now that her role as injection nurse will be ending......
My surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday, I'm flying out to Houston to see Dr. Clavell.
I've been looking forward to this for months, but now it's about to happen, and I'm getting very worried.
I'm not typically the sort to stress about things like this. I'm not even certain what's worrying me. I'm broken as it is, so I have nowhere to go but up if the implant works for me.
Maybe I'm just thinking it won't work, I'll get a dud implant or something, and have to do it twice, damage myself even more. Or maybe it's the permanence of the change.
I don't know. I've just got those anxious knots in my gut.
Any last minute thoughts before I get my piece hollowed out?
Edit:
Just wanted to take another moment to say thank you all! This wave of advice and positivity genuinely helped me, and I really appreciate you taking the time.
Surprisingly smooth sailing so far.
Just some soreness manageable w Tylenol. Urinating and sleeping fine. Ball sack is swollen but not painful.
About 1.5” shorter than pre-op. Confident based on y’all’s experience I can recover that.
