Questuon

Hi guys,

I'd like to ask if it's too risky to travel outside your country for a penile implant.

I'm from Canada, and unfortunately the waiting times in our healthcare system can be so long that they can seriously affect your quality of life. Because of that, I'm considering having the surgery with Dr. Mohamed Hamdan in Amman, Jordan. His clinic is recognized as a Coloplast Center of Excellence.

My main concern is what would happen if I developed an infection after returning to Canada. I'm worried that Canadian hospitals might be reluctant to manage complications from surgery performed abroad.

I'm also thinking about future follow-up visits. Traveling back to Jordan may not always be easy because flights can sometimes be disrupted due to regional tensions, which could make follow-up care more difficult.

Has anyone here had a penile implant abroad? I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.
