How was your Strahd at his angriest?
Alright so that's the question! I need examples of how your Strahd was like when he was furious.
I've finished CoS a few years ago and now I'm running another heavily homebrewed campaign set 200 years before our CoS campaign. In this campaign my players have recently found out that they need to go to Barovia to get a powerful sword from the Amber Temple.
Some additional context is that one of my players is playing a vistani dhampir who ran away from Strahd and Barovia 7 years ago and have been on the run outside of Barovia, where both character and player have been sure Strhad can't get to them. But now they have to go back. And they should be frightened. Strahd knows where they are, he has vistani spies everywhere and he knows that character also has a wife.
Now, why do I want examples of how your Strahd was when he was angry?
Well, in my CoS campaign I played Strahd mostly as calm and collected and somewhat bored of his time in Barovia, which in my case had been 400 years. But, my new campaign is set 200 years earlier and I am thinking that Strahd during this time is a much more involved ruler but also very angry at his situation and for being trapped. So I am going to run him as a much more explosive force this time and want to showcase much more brutality and anger.
So, what are the times Strahd was most angry in your campaign?
What did he say? Any lines you are particularly proud of?
What are some brutal acts he has committed in anger?
Any and all tips on how to run this is appreciated!
