So, I have been been reading the Monkees by Sandoval and as I read day by day I noticed that Mike Nesmith seems to be very involved in music production from the very beginning. Given that he was young and only 2 years musical experience, how did that happen right away? Also, I am wondering, since he was producing and making decisions so early, why did he become so disgruntled over “lack of creative control”?
