for next semester, i’m taking  ART 131: Two-Dimensional Design with V Pates (online + asynchronous) and i was wondering what should i expect from the class? I’ve never taken a college art class so i’m not really sure what it’ll be about, and also, I was wondering what mediums will be used (eg. paper and pencil, colored pencil, paint, etc…) and what type of art style does the teacher expect? (i’m assuming realism so i’m working on my realism skills right now but i just wanted to check)

i’m fine with taking any general studies classes (since i haven’t chosen my major yet) that offer fully asynchronous/online but i was wondering does anyone know any professors that do projects/something else instead of the midterm and final exams? i find that im much better at projects and the midterms and finals tend to really hurt my grades😓
