retired 66-year-old wants to get a college degree, how hard is it to start by going to NOVA part-time for a couple of years first?(and then transfer to GMU or another nearby state university)
he worked in the family business right after high school and never went to college. The family business was a chain of restaurants, which he sold a couple of years ago and retired. His two sons had master and doctorate degrees, so he wanted to get his own college degree, now that he has plenty of time on his hands. :)
Surely he's not the only senior citizen who ever tried to get a college degree, right? Just wondering if anyone here has any advice for him. I don't have much to offer, so I figure I can at least ask the question for him on this subreddit.
Somehow he kept a copy of his high school transcript from the 1970s.... I was impressed because he was a straight-A student during all four years of high school. (yes, the entire transcript showed A for every course) My point is that he's a pretty smart guy.
