AITA
Today I was working out at our PF. I was on the tricep extension machine, my location only has 1. I did 3 sets of 10 with resting about 90 seconds-2 minutes after each set.
After my first set I was resting and doing something on my phone during the rest period. This old lady (70s or so) is hovering giving me dirty looks, I look and give a friendly smile at her.
After my second set I am resting and she walks by and says something nasty to me (not sure what because I had noise cancelling headphones on), I reply that I was resting between sets. This was about 9:30am, the gym was not busy and I was on the machine less than 5 minutes.
Are we now not allowed to look at our phones while resting between sets? I thought this was absolutely wild of her.
Edit to add: she didn’t even use the machine after me and continued to give me dirty looks throughout the rest of my workout.
