I signed my 14 year old up for free workouts this summer…..she has a phone, but it doesn’t have internet. The welcome email states that she just needs to download the app and set it up with the email she used to register for the teen summer program. Is there another way to do this without the app? She’s really excited to workout, but not sure how she can check in without the app…..
Water and vinegar?
For some reason payment didnt go through but they didnt even bother to charge my backup payment?? What was the point of adding a backup if they're not going to charge it, now im forced to pay this extra 20
I caught a cold at the gym. I'm pissed. Who the hell goes to the gym sick??
Interesting they were being kind of quiet about this it seems. High School membership again for the summer. In my area "teen takeovers"have been a thing and a quite frequent occurrence.
PF employees and management I am curious do you have an actual protocol/contingency to follow dictated by corporate if this happens at a club?
Those of us who live in major cities/urban areas would have concerns about the potential about this happening.
Worst case scenario would be a weekend "teen takeover" organized on Facebook when the part time people are working in the club. How would this be effectively handled? I feel sorry for the PT folks working the front desk having to make judgement calls
I don't think PF corporate is going to act on this until something major occurs such as an assault on a member that gets national attention.
Hello! I am asking for any thoughts or tips you guys may have to help me out.
I am obese, working on my weight and diet seriously.
Last year I had a series of horrible illnesses back to back- it caused me to barely move from my bed or chair much at all for months and months.
Ever since then. My legs and lower back are deconditioned, and walking through a store is nearly too painful to handle. I also have a chronic pain condition.
I’m working with doctors and physical therapist, but the main goal is slowly gaining muscle back to support my lower back and regain strength in my legs (while losing body weight).
I’ve been doing that sitting elliptical machine and it will raise my heart rate to about 100, but I feel like I’m ready to start a few machines.
What machines or things should I do to start strengthening my core and legs to take the pressure off my lower back? And how do I begin? Keep in mind my size.
So me and a couple friends are planning on doing the high school free summer membership thing and we all did the pre-registration thing and we all got the app but I can’t seem to find it. I know it sounds like a stupid question but I’ve never been to planet fitness before and I’m really new to this.
I'd been trying to get good at the smith machine bench press, which has an angled track, but there are a few issues. The first is that my reps are very inconsistent, usually fluctuating from 3 to 5 reps. This means that when I usually bench, I can do the weight at reps of 10, 8, 5, but then the next workout it drastically drops to 8, 3, 3. The second issue is that my smith machine bench is much weaker than my other lift, which is the incline dumbbell press. I lift more with the dumbbells and do more reps. If anyone has any idea why this is happening, it would be appreciated!
is there a polite way to tell someone you DONT need their help in the gym ?? had this older guy come up to me + without asking for anything sort of confirmation just put his hands on me while i was doing back squats. i brushed it off the first time because my foot did wobble a bit and i figured he was just being polite. but then every single time i went to do my lifts (reverse lunges or back squats at least) he’d come over once i started and would try to assist me putting the weight back up. he said i shouldn’t be lifting in flat shoes too?? i just tried to smile politely and do my sets when i saw he was doing his and it stopped towards the end… but is there a polite way to say back off without it coming off so ~nasty~ ? usually idrc how i’m perceived and would tell him to go away but there’s more than a few people that go to my pf that are just not entirely right in the head and i don’t want to set the wrong person off if ya catch my drift
The same woman is always taking "progress" pictures in the locker room. I've said something to her 3 times and to the front desk once. Do they actually enforce the rule about taking photos? Or is that more location specific? There are a LOT of older/vulnerable people who use my location, including my own mother in law. It just seems like such a simple rule to follow...
i recently signed up for the teen summer program and they sent me a text asking me to reply to confirm my subscription. I tried replying yes but then it said it wouldn’t work and I had to reply help for help. What is HELP?
I thought I posted the other day, but it looks like it didn't upload.
My son just turned 12 and REALLY wants to go with his sister (16) and myself to the gym. I was going to add him as my Black Card guest and have his birthday be a year earlier.
Do the employees care enough to ask for age verification? We've seen some TINY humans in the gym that are clearly not 13.
I’m 19 and just got back home from college. I’m looking to go to PF with the free summer pass this summer, which starts in june. One of the locations near me has a $1 start up fee for their location. The location I signed up for the free summer pass is different. If i purchase a membership at the $1 start up fee location, then cancel it once June hits, would things still be go smoothly for me to go to the other location for free for the summer? Sorry if this may be a dumb question, I’ve never bought a gym membership before!! The one at my college is free lol
So I’ve had a planet fitness membership for about a year, maybe went 10 times. (Ik typical). But I’m 20 years old, about 210 pounds 5’10. Looking to cut down to 170-180 then gain more muscle. How would I go about that starting out? I go to the gym when I’m bored or just need to get my mind off things, but everytime I go I kinda just do whatever I see next 😂. I’m kinda overwhelmed with all of it. But I don’t know how to actually lose weight and what’s a good routine. I eat like sh!t a lot of the time and over the past few months noticed some shirts stopped fitting how they used too. And I’m not for it 🤣 If anyone would be willing to just comment a good routine, maybe throw in some decent cheap and easy meals that aren’t terrible for you, I’d appreciate it a lot. I tried watching videos and stuff, but half of them are just people trying to get you to buy some sort of course or just some bs. I wanna know what actually works with real progress
Gentlemen (as I have not been in the ladies locker room).
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THIS WORLD…
please wear shower shoes when showering and traversing the locker room.
That is all.
i missed the payment on may 1st for my annual fee.
but I went in person and I paid it on May 6th but they’ve said they refunded it on the 11th and want me to pay the full amount.
my bank has the purchase going through and the bank says that no process of refund has happened for it.
and when I ask the gym for a print out of the history it doesn’t have may 6th as happening, but my bank does and has the first few numbers of my pf account for that annual fee.
can I request a purchase history of the card I used to see what my annual fee went to on pf side?
