5 Months into my fitness journey

For reference: I'm 60 and never was a gym guy. I joined PF 5 months ago with the goal of losing weight and improving my cardio. I've got 2 bad hips and had already lost about 30 pounds in the previous 2 years.

I've strictly been using a stationary bike for working out 6 days a week. My orthopedic surgeon said treadmills will accelerate my hip problems.

In 5 months, I've doubled my workout time and more than doubled the calories burned.

And I've lost a couple more pounds as well. If I lose another 10 pounds, I might get to have abs again. Lol.

Anyway, I'm kinda bragging here because I live alone and don't have anyone who can appreciate the work I'm doing. So, thanks in advance for indulging me.

Any tips for adding to my workout are always appreciated.

Connecting to equipment

Is there a way to connect my phone to the equipment to log my workout? Like my stationary bike ride numbers.

I would love if I could get those numbers like calories and distance automatically uploaded to the app.

Shout out to my local PF!!

Tonight I was doing my usual stationary bike ride when I noticed a younger guy pacing in front of me. He was talking loudly on the phone (on speakerphone no less).

This went on for a few minutes before I noticed the manager came over and was talking to him. He put his phone away and started shouting as soon as the manager walked away. The manager came back and very calmly asked him to leave.

No drama. No bs. Just a good employee doing his job the right way.

I spoke with the manager later. He said the kid is 17 and started shouting about how unfair it was that he couldn't be doing whatever he wanted at the gym.

It takes guts to confront people. I definitely appreciate him.

I guess that's the world we live in

Went to my local PF yesterday. As always, I hopped on one of the upright stationary bikes.

There was a younger guy on the bike next to me. He clearly put in the some work. He was basically laying on the bars and covered in sweat. Ya know what's next? of course, he pops off the bike and heads right for the locker room. Doesn't bother to wipe down anything. The bars and seat are all wet.

I called the front desk and asked for someone to come talk to me. (They know who I am, I'm there 6 days a week).

I told the staffer what he did, and she waited for him to come out of the locker room. And that scumbag literally said to her "I don't f-ing care, I'm on vacation and you'll never see me again."

Wtf is wrong with people?!?

Can PF ban a person for being a bad member? Do they ever actually do it?
