My LO just hit 5 months on April 20 - about 2 weeks prior he found his ears, toes, and learned to roll back to belly in a matter of days. Aside from that all being overload on his brain, I had to stop using the magic merlin sleep suit. We’ve been going through it trying to navigate this new world, but we are getting there! I prefer to not co sleep but we do end up doing it some almost every night depending on the vibe. I have a consultation today with a sleep “trainer” to help me navigate helping my baby sleep better or fall asleep better - but the last 2 days since I booked the consult we’ve finally made some progress. He has allowed himself to sleep on his belly in his crib (still waking every 1-4 hours but a some crib is better than none) and I FINALLY got a 30 min crib nap in today (first crib nap since dropping the Merlin)
Do I need to even go through with hiring a trainer? Or just keep riding the waves. It’s certainly a cost.. and I’m not sure if we need it as we keep figuring each other out.
I do want him to move into his own room by 6 months so wondering if that will help. Also sometimes he goes down EASY other times it takes forever.
Breastfed, occasionally given bottles.
Sorry this is worded so chaotic lol
