GH6 streaking or actually something wrong?
I purchased a Panasonic GH6 on September 28, 2025, and I’ve been experiencing streaking issues in my video footage ever since.
Because I didn’t use the camera very heavily at first, I initially assumed the problem might be related to my settings or shooting technique. As a result, I didn’t pay much attention to it during the first few months. However, now that I’m using the camera more frequently for filmmaking, I’ve noticed that almost every shooting day includes clips where streaking is clearly visible.
I’m aware that some degree of streaking on the GH6 can occur under specific conditions, such as extremely bright light sources (e.g. car headlights) or scenes with very high contrast. In my case, though, the issue appears in almost every type of situation: bright scenes, dark scenes, high-contrast scenes, and low-contrast scenes alike. Because of this, I strongly suspect that there’s an underlying technical issue rather than the normal behavior that is known for this camera model.

For each example, you’ll find:
- The original shot
- The same clip played in slow motion
- A heavily overexposed version created in post-production to make the streaking easier to see
I’ve also spent quite a bit of time trying to troubleshoot the problem myself. Among other things, I have:
- Updated the firmware
- Tested multiple picture profiles
- Tried different ISO settings
- Enabled and disabled Dynamic Range Boost
- Tested various recording formats and camera settings
At certain ISO values the effect seems slightly less noticeable, but the issue never completely disappears (only on ISO 400 and below). For a camera in this class, I would expect clean, usable footage at common settings such as ISO 800 without this kind of artifact being present.
Has anyone else experienced similar behavior with their GH6? Based on the examples, does this look like normal GH6 streaking, or could it indicate a hardware defect that would justify a repair or replacement?
I've used a Panasonic GH5 a few years back and loved it. This GH6 just sucks with the streaking.

Honestly how can there be streaking with such ISO?
