Rx Kids

This is for the moms!

Have any of you applied for Rx Kids? I am 12 weeks with my first and could definitely use the pregnancy payout to get items for baby, especially as it’s our first and we are starting from scratch.

My question, what type of documentation did you provide to show that you are at least 16 weeks? Just trying to figure out in advance what I’ll need when the time comes.

Thanks! 😊

FTM, due late November…stay home or go to family Christmas gathering?

While I realize it’s still sooo early to be thinking about/asking this, it’s something I’ve thought about from time to time since finding out.

I am a FTM, due at the end of November. Personally, I feel like going to a larger family gathering for Christmas will be too soon for baby. My husband doesn’t seem to think so, but is diplomatic and says “Ask other moms. And ask the doctor when the time comes.”

While I’d love to be able to bring baby and I know the family would love it, it feels way too soon in my opinion. I just think of their fragile immune system, and at a time of year when illness runs rampant.

I realize that I don’t know yet how birth will go, how I’ll feel, etc. But I guess I’m just curious what others have done and thoughts about it.

Thanks!
