help with panel lining/ topcoat/ waterslides
I am planning on purchasing tamiya's panel line accent color for a kit of mine as well as some waterslide decals, which I will use mark setter/softer on. I have heard stories about how the tamiya panel line can crack plastic and that a topcoat should be used to prevent this. when looking online, many topcoats that I have seen are sold out everywhere and really expensive on places like ebay. I am still not even sure which topcoat I am really supposed to use. would it be just one for the panel lines and to help seal the waterslides? what type would I want to use?
If I don't get a topcoat would it be fine to place the line on before assembly, even on the runners still? should the watersides be placed at this time too? this is all quite confusing for me so I purchased some of the gundam markers as well if I can't use the tamiya.
