Nike warranty is a scam

I bought racing shoes for my son’s qualifier run to the Junior Olympics. His left shoe broke apart after the second run, and he could have been severely injured. I immediately filed a claim and return under warranty (not an exchange, he doesn’t want to run in that shoe ever again). Two weeks later Nike returned the shoe to us with a “denied return” note, without explanations. I assumed it was a mistake and called. Twice I was told to escalate to a “corporate claim”. Fine, I will do that. Except I was never allowed to speak to “corporate” and was just told the inspector’s word was final! And why did I ask? Because he couldn’t find the tag in the box we sent back. So basically, I bought the shoe from Nike.com, returned them after two weeks because the foam exploded, and they think I want to scam them? Problems always happen, with every business. It’s how they deal with problems that shows their corporate culture. And I am sorely disappointed by this one. Look at the picture and let everyone decide for themselves (it shows a manufacturing date of Feb 2025, and we purchased them on the website on April 15, 2026).
