With the new May 5 update, a lot of my PvP contacts are coming back to the game after two or three years away. It feels like some real hype has started again, and honestly, I think it is justified.

This update also feels like a new chapter for Conan Exiles. Maybe I am hoping for too much, but I really hope more good changes will follow.

That is why I wanted to bring up a topic I hear about a lot from the PvP community, especially from players who left the game or those who are still trying to enjoy it despite the current state of things:

the meta and overall balancing.

There have always been shifts in the meta, of course, but I have to admit that I really miss the time when things were simpler. More importantly, I miss when PvP combat still had that brutal feeling to it.

If we take a step back and look at the game now, we have gas arrows with gas going through masks, buffs on top of buffs, tons of potions for every possible situation, and a bow/agility meta that completely destroys melee players.

Of course, I understand that this kind of gameplay probably appeals to some people. That is fair. But from my own small perspective, the opinion among the players around me is pretty unanimous: combat has become a mental struggle against frustration more than anything else.

This post is meant to start a discussion. I hope the topic can stay constructive enough for the developers to consider it. (Also made this "meme" because why not, im bored waiting the release)
