I’m trying to build the smoothest possible cross-platform experience for movies/TV shows with:

4K HDR / Dolby Vision
H265 / MKV direct play
minimal buffering or transcoding
support across Apple TV, Android TV, Windows, iPhone, etc.

Right now Infuse seems to be the gold standard on Apple TV, but I’m looking for something more cross-platform with a similar “it just works” experience.

What are you all using these days?

Any plugin suggestions?

I’ve been trying to find the best eBook reader app that works across multiple platforms (Mac, Windows, Android, iOS, maybe web) specifically for sideloaded EPUBs.

My main priorities:

• Easy sideloading (Calibre, drag & drop, cloud, etc.)
• Sync reading progress across devices
• Good reading experience (fonts, layout, performance)
• No heavy lock-in to a store/ecosystem

Apps I’ve looked at so far:

• Kindle
• Kobo
• Google Play Books

From what I’ve seen, there’s always some tradeoff between sync vs openness.

For those of you who mainly sideload EPUBs:
👉 What setup or app are you actually using day-to-day?
👉 What’s the closest thing to a “perfect” cross-platform solution?

Would really appreciate real-world experiences 🙏
