I all.

I have a 2012 Toyota Yaris 1.0. it's a manual. I have got the car for approximately 2 months.

When the car is cold, the gears are stiff. Also the reverse gear grinds when engaging. I used to put it into first gear and then reverse to eliminate the grinding. But recently, it still grinds a bit even if I put it into first gear and then reverse. I think I should mention that the clutch is a bit firm/stiff compared to other cars that I have driven.

What can be the issue.
