2014 silverado 4.3 2wd

Looking for some insight on an oil pressure issue on my 2014 Silverado 1500 (4.3L V6 EcoTec3, 2WD) with 233k miles.

A few days ago, the Check Engine light came on. Hooked up my scanner and pulled two codes:

  • P06DD (Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Stuck Off - Permanent)
  • P0102 (Mass Air Flow Circuit Low - likely unrelated, just needs a clean)

The Symptoms:

  • When Cold: While driving, the oil pressure gauge actively bounces up and down between 60 and 80 PSI depending on acceleration.
  • When Warm: Once the engine reaches operating temperature, the pressure stabilizes perfectly right around 35-40 PSI at idle. The engine sounds healthy with zero ticking or knocking.
  • Current Status: I cleared the codes to see what would happen. The Check Engine light hasn't returned yet, but I've driven less than 100 miles since clearing it, and I know these permanent codes take a specific drive cycle to trigger again.
