Kn¿where Fest was AWESOME

I had the pleasure of attending Kn¿where fest this weekend and need to share my experience.

For those of you who haven’t attended a camping festival, it is a whole different vibe then a mainstream one like veld. The vibes are immaculate from everyone and there is a true sense of community and cohesiveness. Those who make this trek are all in on what Plur is.

DnR went balls to the wall, investing in key assets that made this one of the best fest I’ve ever been to. Sound and production was top tier, rivalling the quality of huge commercial ones that have been around for years. Those sound systems were CRAZY and you could feel the bass from the camp site almost a KM away. PK speaker systems are viewed as the best in the world and standing beside a wall of those is something you cannot find almost anywhere else. Their artist lineup was curated perfectly, combining both international headliners and very talented local artists that had every set enjoyable.

Their ability to adapt to every challenge was impressive. Clearing out the mainstage with hay when it had a large downpour, ensuring there was enough room for everyone for the finale set of the day.

The attendance of the festival was decent but at times many sets felt empty. This was cool as it felt like we had personal sets by these international artists and created an intimate environment with everyone there. They deserve more ticket sales but I was happy to be the first year attendees as this one once in a lifetime experience.

The only thing I wish they did better was having clearly labeled water stations. There was plenty of water and once we found it we were good.

My advice to anyone considering this next year (as you should), is be prepared for the elements like rain. Not just a tent.

I think this fest did everything right and has huge potential to continue to grow and get the crowd size it deserves. Even if bass music is not your thing, you will love this!
