2 month baby refusing breast
Could you share any suggestions? My LO is 2 months , refusing breast and crying like anything after 8 minutes of feeding and starts to arch after that when held in hand.
He stops crying when he is held away from my breast. But he again shows hunger cues like putting hand in mouth vigorously.
Even though I burp him, make him calm etc, he is still very stubborn when brought near breast and starts crying. Now he started to spit bottle teat too. So altogether drinking very little. But he feeds in every 1.5 hrs. I'm very much tired of this 1.5 hrs schedule and with him crying and rejecting, I feel very helpless.
I tried holding him near my breast and also giving compression while he starts to slow down the sucking. Still near to 8-10 minutes, he starts to cry.
Also i noticed that about 20-30 minutes after feed, he spits curdled milk. Even though i burp him and hold him upright.
He sometimes takes in formula feed once in a day or once in 2 days and completes without any crying. But i thought to avoid that now as he'll hate breast more. But then now he has very little feed altogether.
I need help mommies.. i was a happy mom till this week. But since then he started crying and i am helpless and very much worried now.
Edit: Also there are times when i fool him by providing a teat and when he stops crying and starts sucking that, i bring him near breast and make him latch. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesnt. If it works, he again feeds for next 8-10 minutes and after that does the same
