FSGS, Please Help!!
I was diagnosed with FSGS a year ago following my second kidney biopsy. My first biopsy had shown Minimal Change Disease (MCD), which initially responded well to prednisolone. However, after I stopped taking the prednisolone, I relapsed. Following my FSGS diagnosis, I underwent two separate three-month courses of tacrolimus, but unfortunately, I did not respond to the treatment at all and still have heavy proteinuria. Now, my nephrologist has started me on Rituximab; I received my first infusion a week ago, and my second infusion is scheduled for next week. I am feeling incredibly discouraged by this disease. How long does it typically take for Rituximab to improve proteinuria, and what are the chances of success? Thank you.
