looking to connect with wreck researchers / exploration projects

My father has spent most of his life building and operating a maritime/offshore company, working across salvage, towage, cable-laying operations, offshore logistics, and marine support operations throughout the region.

But beyond the commercial side of the industry, he’s always had one personal dream:
to one day dedicate his later years to ocean exploration and the discovery of lost maritime history.

For years, he talked about eventually building or converting a vessel specifically for exploration once he retired — something focused on searching for historic wrecks, lost cargo, forgotten sites, and stories still resting beneath the sea. Not from a fantasy perspective, but from genuine fascination with maritime history, exploration, and discovery.

Now that he’s getting older, I’ve been trying to see if there’s any real opportunity out there that could help him achieve that dream while he still can.

The reason I’m posting is because our company already has substantial offshore capability and operational experience, including:
- offshore support vessels
- multipurpose work barges
- salvage operations
- towage
- cable-laying operations
- marine logistics and offshore support infrastructure

So this is not just an idea without capability behind it. What we’re missing is connection to the right people:
- marine archaeologists
- wreck researchers
- historians
- sonar/survey specialists
- exploration teams
- people with knowledge of potential sites or ongoing projects

Particularly within the Gulf region, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, and wider Asia region.

If there’s anyone here involved in this world — or anyone aware of opportunities, leads, partnerships, historical areas of interest, or projects needing operational marine support — I would genuinely appreciate hearing from you.

This is something we view far more as a passion-driven exploration project rooted in maritime history and discovery, rather than a commercial venture, with any future efforts planned carefully around existing operations and practical feasibility.

Honestly, this post is just a son trying to help his father accomplish something he’s dreamed about for a very long time.

TL;DR; : why am I struggling with girls my age but not older ones?

I’ve officially noticed today that older women seem to be attracted to me or at least more so than women my age. I’m 25 muscular with a beard (trimmed beard) and short hair. Between my friends it’s always been a tease and joke that older women are into me, and yes I’ve had several encounters with women more so in their 30s and a hand full in their mid 40s, I would say 30s are my ideal encounters and 40s + are just situations I would rather not but do when a few too many drinks are in the system. Now this has never crossed my mind as this is obviously true but rather as a bit of banter/joke between my friends. However I’ve recently moved country and went out with a new group of guys I just met though meet-up, this time I’ve had 3 intensive encounters with ladies in their 40s at separate time. One being almost intrusive, I did not communicate anything flirtatious simply, focused on making new friends with guys being new to the area. The encounters were pretty obvious for this to become the topic of our night despite meeting these guys for the first time. So this has got me thinking why is this?

I just had a discussion/debate with a class member regarding our systems map. When making a connection -> + - what is the correct discipline?

I’ve been told that it’s a messy process, not to articulate and make plenty connections, but to what extent?

One variable is corporate greenwashing rate and the other variable is profit margin existing in our systems map, I argued that I don’t think a direct connection should be made between profit margin -> + corporate greenwashing rate because it’s not the adjacent possible as it skips an entire process. This was also part of her causal loop where the debate arose, I thought it doesn’t represent a system and rather, has been cherry picked to articulate a pre determined assumption.

I don’t think she’s wrong, but I don’t think it’s the right placement for the variable and to be part of a causal loop. I think they are connected just not adjacent to each other and that we might be missing the bigger picture. So what are the boundaries? What discipline makes our representation of reality as accurate as possible?

I’ve unintentionally built a systems thinking software which may be worth taking further.

I’m doing a masters in strategic design and innovation so we have been learning a lot about systems thinking, current tool we build visual maps on take time and can get messy. So I vibe coded something that could make the process a little easier and faster which is also AI assisted, it can detect casual loops and run some simulations and isolate parts for clarity, it supports live working spaces so my group members can also participate putting it together. It impressed my unit coordinator and suggested it may be worth taking further.

I’m wondering though, it seems like a pretty niche market for academia, some strategy firms, large corporations and government sectors which in all is a hard market to penetrate but potentially rewarding. I’ve come across Vensin which does this at a complex level in systems dynamics, predictive modelling etc. The software I have built currently supports the brainstorming aspect to dump out and map your systems and discover your feedback loops etc before going further, but it has the potential to extend its functions with a much better user interface and ease of use including an AI agent (which still needs work)

I’m still learning about systems thinking and it seems like there is no end to, when I think I’ve finally learned one aspect to it there always seems to be something more to it.

Would I be wasting my time on creating something complex, or am I building something that could reward my efforts? That question seems a little broad given you havnt seen or fully understand my product. I would highly appreciate your comments.

If you do find this interesting, please reach out for a discussion and I’ll be happy to provide you with a link to my software.
