AITAH for not giving my sister my food?
My sister 21f immidately wanted dinner when she came home and asked me 19f what my dad had cooked, because I was in the kitchen.
Not even a hello or anything so I was already annoyed. My dad usually cooks for the whole family except for me, because I only eat clean homemade/healthy meals so I’ve been cooking every meal for myself since 17
Anyway, my mom had eaten my sisters half of the dinner and my sister demanded I give her half of the food I was cooking lol. I told her to cook for herself bc the pan was still hot and all the ingredients were there. Then she asked just for some chicken. I told her no again bc there was enough fresh chicken in the fridge waiting to be cooked. Also I wanted to have the other half of my food the next morning as leftovers for breakfast
She then went to tell our mom and she started yelling at me. When I didnt give in (In the past I gave in whenever this happend) she started cooking for my sister herself while saying I was selfish and spoiled.
My sister only wanted my food to “save” time out of her evening and in the end she got her way and my mom cooked for her???
I literally spend 1/2h every day cooking all my meals and if I dont then I just go to bed hungry bc my parents dont cook extra for me, which I dont expect them to.
If I had given her my food, I either would’ve had to cook again in the morning or just stay hungry bc I need to go grocery shopping tmrw and I cant eat the stuff we have at home. Meanwhile my sister can eat everything, so it feels like way more of an inconvenience for me than for her.
Also, I paid for the ingredients myself and I dont mind sharing if she cooks for herself.
I know I was being petty, but I dont get why she couldnt just cook for herself once when everything was already there
AITAH? If I really was being the AH, please explain so I can understand.
Edit: Wow, I feel so understood reading these responses. I tried talking to my mom like some comments suggested, but she just doesnt get it.
