Dick’s Charging Market Prices?
Stopped to see if my local Dick’s Sporting Goods because the card section employees are really nice folks. I was surprised, and excited, to see they had a bunch of new inventory besides PO booster packs available. See price list below. Do these feel like near scalper prices to anyone else? I get that all the retailers are marking stuff up some, except Best Buy, but this feels ridiculous for a retail store. They even had the balls to list market price as the “retail” price so it looks like they’re giving you a deal!
Prismatic Evolutions ETB: $140, “marked down” from $180
Ascended Heroes booster bundles: $75, “marked down” from $89
Prismatic Evolutions Mini Tins: $25, “marked down” from $30
Prismatic Evolutions Tech Sticker Collection: $40, “marked down” from $50
Needless to say, I walked out without buying anything. They had 10-12 prismatic ETBs and probably about 50+ AH Booster Bundles, 8-10 mini tin displays and 5-6 tech sticker collection displays. I know Prismatic and AH are both highly sought after right now. Am I being stubborn by not being willing to pay these prices? Admittedly, it was somewhat hard to walk out with nothing.
