Any love for raw, dirty melodic punk with some technical riffs? Our band The Vile Maxim (Te Aroha, NZ) just dropped an EP and we're main support for Strung Out NZ Tour in Sept.
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share our new track "No-One Is Coming To Save You". We’re a four-piece punk band based out of Te Aroha in the Waikato, New Zealand.
Musically, we tread the line between dirty, raw street punk and technical melodic stuff—think the grit and energy of Rancid or Bleeders mixed with the heavier, driving riffage of A Wilhelm Scream. No polished pop-punk here; just fast, aggressive, and honest. We tracked it at Studio 11b with Evan Pope and had it mastered by Dave Rhodes.
Things have been moving fast for us lately. We got to open for Lagwagon on their NZ run earlier this year, and in exactly two weeks (June 26th), we’re hitting the stage as main support for Bleeders for their anniversary tour leg in Hamilton.
For the DIY musicians and show-goers in here: how is the underground scene looking in your corner of the world right now? It’s a hustle being a punk band outside of the main city centers down here, but the regional communities keep keeping it alive.
Give the EP a spin if you like it raw and loud. Let us know what you think!
