Pike and Shot: Campaigns

Hi guys,

I just wanted to say that this older game is really great and unique in its own way.

It's one of the very few games that gives me the feeling of commanding battles the way I imagine them when reading history books or watching channels like Kings and Generals, Epic History TV, and similar content.

Unlike the typical 5-minute clickfest battles in some strategy games, here you can actually make plans and execute them. With a bit of imagination, it really feels like a real battle: defending a hill on your right flank while maneuvering and launching an attack on the left, trying to hold the center, managing reserves, and so on.

I also love the historical period the game covers. The modded historical battles that extend the experience into the 18th and 19th centuries are fantastic as well.

Of course, the game isn't perfect. I still dislike the long AI turns, the limited battle animations, and a few other issues. But despite that, I just can't get into games like Field of Glory the same way I can with Pike and Shot.

For me, this game is truly one of a kind.

Do you know any other games that give you that feeling of commanding real historical battles, like the ones you read about in books or see in Kings and Generals videos?

Thanks!
