I'm writing a fanfiction that's a military au, but I know next to nothing about how the (american) military works, rank-wise. Basically, I've got several marine drill seargants, as well as a "top-secret taskforce" (cheesy, I know) who I need ranks for. There are several pilots on that taskforce (asking for clemency for my inaccuracies ) as well. I've done some research, but I don't want to give somebody the wrong rank lol. If anybody is willing to help, please lmk :)

Recently found an old series 5 in a drawer. Probably hasn’t been turned on in a couple years. I’ve been charging it up to see if I could use it again—just for basic athletic tracking, nothing crazy. It’s been blinking the apple logo on the charger, but won’t turn on when I take it off and manipulate the buttons. Any thoughts? Is it too old to power on after such a long time being off?
I’ve recently found a Sabre Detail Master IV in my grandfather’s (extensive) workshop. It probably hasn’t been used in a decade, but I’d love to dust it off and try wood burning! If anyone has any tips you wish you’d known when you first got started, I’d love to hear them!
