Roadtrip Itinerary for family of three with 2 year old

Hello! I hope this is okay to post. I've looked at other similar posts but was curious to see what locals would recommend.

My husband and I will be roadtripping from the North East of US to Nova Scotia this fall. We will be breaking up the drive to and from since it is about 14 hours.

We would be in Nova Scotia for a total of 5/6 days.

Our debate: 1) Picking two locations as hubs around the South Shore for our trip and doing short day trips (ex. Annapolis Royal and Lunenburg) or, 2) Lean into the roadtrip even more and drive to a different location every day/every other day (ex. stay in wolfville one night, drive to annapolis royal next day and explore and stay the night, then next morning drive and stay in Liverpool).

Our baby is pretty good in the car, and we know we would be in the car for about 1-2 hrs each day with some day trips. Open to all suggestions! Thank you so much!
