Goop in Evap Drain Pan
What causes this goop to accumulate in interior drain pan? 1 year old air handler heat pump system horizontal in attic. There is what seems to be a ridiculous amount of buildup in the pan and down the primary drain for only a 1 year old system. Primary drain pipes outside and drains next to condenser. Emergency pan underneath unit was also filled with it
1 inch filter at filter grille in ceiling. Filter changed fairly regularly throughout the first year of this system being installed. One time the filter was left for 3-4 months, changed monthly other than that.
