I got a decent flax harvest that allows me to pay all extortions with it and avoid getting potentially killed, that until I finally finish a mega tower (right behind where the growing trees are) so I can skewer any enemies from safety (as I postponed researching weapons)

I decided to dig down right on my base just to find some black coal underneath.

There're some other black coal deposits nearby so its not like this is a total surprise, but I'm not going to get mad for getting some more, now that I'm finally deciding to make refractory bricks
