Struggling with slapchop
Hi everyone,
I’ve been slap chopping for a while and there is one part I keep struggling with about which I dont find a lot lof info online.
When I start dry brushing my minis there are almost always parts that are too difficult / small to properly reach with a dry brush. Especially with smaller minis. These parts will then just remain black, but they really dont look like normal shadow, its just too much to be shadow. I’ve been looking online for the tiniest dry brush I could find and found one from army painter (not the best one though) but even with that I dont understand how you can consistently dry brush all parts you need to.
It has come to a point where I thought that maybe after the black priming I will first fully paint the mini in dark colours and then dry brush over that and then add lighter speedpaint matching the dark colours. In this way the parts i cant dry brush good enough would at least not look completely black. But about this process I cant find anything online, leading me to conclude its probably not a good method for some reason.
Anyone else struggled with this? How did you solve it?
Thanks for any input!
