675 worth rebuilding?

Hi, i can’t currently ride a bike so i was looking for a project to work on this season when i found this crashed 675sr for sale for 3100USD.

The obvious parts that would need replacing are:
Mirrors, clip-ons, front fender, headlight assembly and gas tank all of these would be about 1400 USD.

If this was all the bike would cost 4400USD which would be a steal.

What should i check before buying the bike to make sure it doesn’t end up being a bunch of scrap metal in my backyard?
