Ideas for characters.
These characters were made by me when i was in middle school and are probably stupid. I did make 4 newer, better thought out ones. Anyways, if you guys want me to post the more recently made ideas i suppose i can. Here are the ones that my middle school self thought were good ideas.
entomologist, scientist variant: the entomologist uses his locust launcher to shoot swarms of plant devouring locusts at the enemies. They do the most damage at close range but the released swarm will chase after the closest plant. Once they catch up, they will infest the plant doing damage over time. The locust launcher only does damage at a close range, the launched swarm doesn't do initial damage when they catch a plant but they do 3 damage per second when the entomologist is at lvl 1. The plant will be infested for 7 seconds and along with taking damage over time will also be slower and have less jump height. really annoying with ridiculously low health.
Surf Star, all-star variant: the surf star will wipe out the plants with his shark surge, charging forward with his shark taking a bite of his foes. and should the time call for it he can scope to unleash a high splash damaging attack. The surf star carries a shark and can charge up the main weapon, shark surge, acting like a mini tackle that doesn't go through the plants, rather stopping at the first plant hit. The attack also has a lot less knock back compared to the tackle. by scoping you can access salty spit, where the shark launches water at the enemy plants, slow and only has 5 ammo but there is a lot of splash damage potential. The longer you charge the surge the further you go and the more damage you do, the shark will open its mouth wider and wider as you charge. you move slower as you charge and can't be swallowed by a chomper while using the attack. the surf star is also a little tankier than most all stars
Repeater, a peashooter variant: The repeater shoots 2 peas at a time, giving him the opportunity to do a lot of splash damage. The repeater shoots like a super commando, except he fires 2 at a time. The slight drawback is that the repeater has the same ammo amount as the peashooter and he has less defense with only slightly more health.
Apex chomper: when this master hunter is in a tight spot, he'll get faster, stronger allowing him to go all out. the apex chomper will become more powerful the less health he has, every hit against him makes him more dangerous and vicious. zombies will want to take care of him quickly before he can benefit from his boost. whilst boosted, even his abilities charge faster.
