Late to the Kpop Party-- Am I the only person crying through the second half of the film?!?

Hi there!

My kids and I (7 and 8y/o boys, 45 y/o woman) are more than late to this party. Our first time watching was 2 weeks ago. They were reluctant to watch this for some reason even though it has been insanely popular with their friends and at school. We finally watched it and wow, they love the film, the songs, the soundtrack is just on repeat over here. Lots of dancing and singing from them (which I love!).

It is just devastating me emotionally, though--or maybe it's been helpful as I cope with feelings? I recently (also within the last two weeks) retained a divorce attorney but am not sure I can go through with it. There has been substance abuse, verbal, emotional, and financial abuse in my marriage for years, and last week the boys and I had to leave for the third time in as many months to protect our safety. I even had to call the police for the first time. We are back at home now without husband (for now) and it's peaceful and this is all they want to watch. I think the themes help them process. I end up crying midway through because well, it's a musical masterpiece that's speaking to all three of us right now.

Please tell me I'm not the only adult here doing so!
