Side effects of stopping creatine
40yo male negotiating my midlife crisis by getting in better shape.
I lift 2-3x/week currently, and I’m seeing good results just with adding protein powder on my lift days.
I know that creatine has uneven affects on ppl when they start taking it. Anyone have experience with what happens when you STOP taking it?
I’m not trying to get jacked, just settle on a consistent exercise regiment that’ll last for a few decades. If bodies naturally produce creatine, what should I expect if/when I stop taking the supplement at some point—say, when I’m old? My main concern with regular creatine intake is that my body would stop naturally producing it to some degree at some point in the future, which would either force me to keep taking it forever, or deal with my body not naturally producing it well anymore.
