Hey everyone, hoping to get some expert eyes on this. I have a GE Profile front-load washer, model PFW95SPT3DS, purchased about 2.5 years ago.

Here's the timeline of what's been happening:

• It started with the washer falsely reporting the door was open even when fully closed. That cleared up after turning the power off to the unit for about 5 minutes.
• On the first load after the door issue it's developed a loud grinding/roaring noise that only occurs during the spin cycle. The faster the spin, the louder it gets.

A few questions for the community:

1. Does this sound like a bearing and spider issue to you, or could it be something else?
2. I've attached a video — can you confirm what you're hearing?
3. GE's standard warranty is only 1 year, so I'm out of coverage. Is there any extended drum/basket warranty on this model I might not know about?
4. At 2.5 years old, is this worth repairing (DIY or pro), or would you cut your losses and replace it?
