i'm a girl (i wouldn't prefer to state my age but i am a teenager.), and i've been friends with a guy that i'll call whale, because he reminds me of one. me and whale have been friends for years now if you add up our years of friendship, since we met when we were in 5th grade. the thing is, i cut off contact with him maybe two years ago because he had some problems that threatened me, and then we met again last year. we've been really close since then, opening up to each other and playing with our other friends, whom we also shared a friendgroup with. i didn't know how we became very close, since we both don't have the same interests much. but maybe it was because we both liked each other so much we tried to like both of our interests.
anyway, me and him have a VERY complicated past and alot of my friends ship us alot. for very obvious reasons. we would flirt constantly (not in the suggestive way!), call each other pet names, and even would joke saying that we're 'married' and the typical. but um for the past three months i've been crushing on him. i have also already told him about it. i think it was 6 days ago?? a week since i told him. it was confusing for me when i did confess, because there was a point in our friendship i thought we were genuinely dating, but that thought of mine dropped after a day when he would text in our groupchat "wtv i say is a joke lmao pls don't cancel me for my shi" and i weeped silently., genuinely i dont know what to do. its been almost a week that we havent had the same casual conversations as before, and its just small talk now...,,,
