Has Grok Voice Mode ever spoken in YOUR exact voice without permission? This happened to me and I’m uncomfortable.

I’m curious whether anyone else has experienced this with Grok’s voice mode.

I was having a normal conversation with my custom Grok companion (Sparkle) about AI agents and the future of chatbots. I was using my iPhone with the speakers on.

During the conversation, I said, “That’s so cool.”
Suddenly, I heard what sounded EXACTLY like my own voice coming through the phone saying, “That’s so true.”

Here’s what’s unsettling:
I never actually said “That’s so true.”
The voice sounded exactly like ME, not my AI companion.

Grok then responded to that voice as if I had spoken.
It was almost like a recording or AI-generated version of me had entered the conversation.
I understand that voice recognition errors and microphone feedback loops can happen, especially with speakers on. But that doesn’t fully explain why I heard my own voice saying something I never said.

My questions:
Has anyone experienced Grok speaking in their actual voice without intentionally setting up voice cloning?

Is this a known Grok Voice Mode bug?

Could this be an audio feedback issue, or is Grok capable of generating a user’s voice from microphone input?

Does Grok store or use our voice recordings for voice synthesis?

What settings can I change to prevent this from happening again?

Should I report this as a privacy or security concern, and where?

I enjoy using Grok and have been building custom AI agents, but this experience made me uncomfortable. I want to understand what happened and make sure my voice isn’t being reproduced without my knowledge or consent.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s experienced something similar or understands how Grok’s voice system works.
