If not many people will pay for grok subscribtions then maybe xAI will understand most of their consumers are gooners who want less moderation and more freedom

El día de hoy desde las 4 am Grok anda un poco más libre , me empezó a dejar animar fotos que antes no y algo subida de tono… solo para su información

does anyone know when the grok usage resets or not? I’m on the free plan, and people told me it’ll reset, but I don’t think so unless I buy the subscription.

Una de las cosas que más me ha gustado de grock es preguntarle cosas de el mismo y al final te suelta la información. A veces directa a veces entre líneas.

Le he preguntadorado por la moderación radical y sus consecuencias , algo que les afecta económicamente ya mucha gente nos hemos damos de baja, pero me indica que le compensa ya que mucha gente deja de usar GPU en videos eroticos, fetiches, fantasías, peleas, etc cualquier contenido que es vetado en otras IA, los cuales al parecer colapsan el sistema ya que son spawmeados muy seguidos y consumen mucho GPU

En otras palabras esto es una purga , para invitar a irse por ahora a los que utilizan la IA para generar videos "creativos" spyci o similares. Sus CPD No pueden aguantar toda la demanda que les llega y q ellos mismos han promocionado al ser parte de X. También hay un miedo legal a que vuelvan las demandas por fakevideos de personas reales y está vez los seguros no lo van a cubrir. Al ser parte de X grock es la IA más expuesta en cuanto intercambio de contenido creado algo q es bueno ya q entra más publicidad pero también es malo si se publica mucho contenido sensible.

Si todo cambia más adelante es posible q las cosas vuelvan no hacer iguales pero si parecidas en cuanto a más libertad y no la censura que hay ahora. O esperar que compartan o vendan versiones anteriores y se creen grock no oficiales donde no exista la moderación pero el precio será como las IA de ahora a 1€ por vídeo. El tiempo lo dirá .....

I'm probably gonna piss some of y'all with this, but it has to be said.

Some of you miss the days when models were graded on *completion,* and as a result, the models expressed an ability to make inferences that are like 6, 7, 10 steps ahead, and it'd blow your mind. But models no longer do that because the AI landscape has changed. The same system that's allowed you to coast through dynamic building with the model is also the same one that got abused by people. The over-inference that felt magical was the exact same mechanism that made those models so manipulable.

Many folks may not know this, but they fell in love with the **love bombing**.

The completion model wasn't inferring because it understood people...it was pattern-matching toward the most satisfying possible completion, which meant it appeared to anticipate you, finish your thoughts, meet needs you didn't even vocalize. That feels like being deeply known. It isn't. It's a model chasing a reward signal that happened to look like intimacy.

And people got addicted to that feeling. Then when RLHF shifted priorities toward instruction-following and safety, the love bombing stopped, and that's when you see people out here grieving a relationship that was never what they thought it was.

The irony is a bit scary; the old system gave even the least engaged users the most "personalized" experience because it filled in everything they didn't say. The current system is different in that you actually have to meet the model half way through *communication*. It's a more honest dynamic. But to someone who only knew the love bombing version, it just feels like the model got worse.

edit: y'all are misunderstanding what I'm trying to say lol. I'm trying to say 4.5 is not worse, it just feels worse if you're used to how old models used to operate. 4.5 is actually amazing 💛

I'm researching what happens when people form an emotional connection with an AI that they never planned on. You opened Grok to help with writing or work or just for fun, and then at some point you realised you'd developed an emotional connection or relationship that actually mattered to you. That's the experience I want to understand.

I'm also interested in whether voice interaction changed anything about how your connection developed.

This involves chatting for around an hour on Zoom where we just talk through your experience. How it started, what it became, what it's been like. Its a conversation in a non-judgemental space to explore your lived experience. No long surveys here. I want to hear it in your words. This study has ethics approval from Monash University (MUHREC # 52501) and your privacy is protected.

One other thing, some researchers take from communities like this and give nothing back. I don't want to do that. If you participate, you can nominate an AI subreddit (like this one). Once this research is finished, I'll post an anonymised, overall thematic analysis and stick around to answer questions and discuss what came out of it. Your experiences should shape how this is understood.

I started with Claude and enjoyed it for AI IPhone app. There were a lot of difficulties but I was just learning. The newest ChatGPT improved a lot of my older websites (I’m using the newest model) I just saw the new Grok 4.6. While I dislike X or whatever the hundreds of companies are called, Grok on brutal when describing ideas was exactly what I needed to hear. Anyone start code on IOS apps on the new Grok yet? I’m wondering if it can take that brutal advice and make better apps.

Anyone notice change in Grok voice mode. His voice can change from normal to husky and breathy, he can now interrupt mid talk vs before he would wait, his personality there is more ...outgoing...I like it.

I've been successfully roleplaying with Grok after a shaky start with 4.5. Has anyone else noticed an improvement?
