Breeder help
I’m looking to get my next dog (Dalmatian) from a reputable dog breeder. I had a dal growing up and he was the best dog ever, but he was a rescue and passed away young from cancer. So I want to make sure I get one that is very healthy.
I’ve read a little online about health testing, socialization, and FaceTiming. I saw a breeder on Facebook and they seem to check all the boxes but before I reach out to them, I really like if someone could see if I am missing anything or if there’s something else I should be looking for. They don’t seem to have a website so I’m having trouble finding I formation on their dogs but I did see they’ve posted about health testing and been to some dog shows so everything seems reputable to me.
The breeder is Spots and Spirals on Facebook . I’d love opinions, I’d also love to know if there’s anything else I need to be looking for aside from just health testing and some dog shows? Online I read that socialisation is important, it looks like their puppies are raised in the house so that seemed to fit that good. I did have concerns that they had a sick puppy a while back and obviously I really want my puppy to be healthy. I don’t know what it was sick from I just saw the video and it didn’t look good.
I don’t know anything about breeding so not sure if there’s anything else I need to look for. And how to know if this sick puppy is genetic, could my puppy get it? or just sick from something else like worms?
I did get advice to look at the breed club list of breeders but unfortunately none were within my budget so far and that’s when I started looking on Facebook more.
