Should I add engine oil additives?
Got a 335i n54 engine. I use the archoil pmax 6900 pmax fuel additive as it has PEA and other stuff.
Recently I came across Archoil AR9200 V2 Nano MO-WS2 Double Ester Engine Oil Additive 200ml.
Basically uses nano particles that are attracted to the engine parts or whatever and helps reduces friction. Seems like an obvious choice to buy some or is it not?
From google:
Archoil AR9200 V2 is a high-performance, synthetic ester-based engine oil additive that combines nano-tungsten disulfide (WS2) with molybdenum. It is specifically formulated to drastically reduce friction, lower engine noise, and protect engine components under extreme shock loads
Key Details & SpecsFriction Reduction:
Creates a micro-thin lubricating film with an ultra-low coefficient of friction (COF) of \(0.03\).
Shock Load Resistance: Withstands up to \(5,000,000\text{ PSI}\).
Engine Protection: Safe for all 4-stroke petrol and diesel engines (including those with DPFs and catalytic converters). It also penetrates to restore worn surfaces and helps maintain compression.
Usage Ratio: Use \(40\text{ ml}\) of AR9200 V2 per \(1\text{ Litre}\) of engine oil.
Application: Warm the engine up to full operating temperature, shake the bottle, pour in the additive, and let the engine idle for about 15 minutes before driving normally.
