Interesting update from Gossamer Gear on their shelters. Looks like the new timeline is getting closer, and the biggest change seems to be the switch to their new “ClearSkies” fabric.
They’re claiming noticeably better strength and water resistance compared to the previous material, but what I’m really curious about is whether this will actually improve sagging and stretching in wet conditions compared to Sil-Poly shelters. That’s always been the biggest on trail performance thing I care about with trekking pole shelters.
Curious what everyone else thinks about the updated design and fabric choice
