Hi Everyone,

I had C diff in 2018. I originally got it from flagyl + macrobid 7-14 days each.
I had a really tough time clearing it. Vanco did not work and I did Dificid. Which cleared it but gave me PI-IBS for years and triggered a whole bunch of other dormant medical conditions that were probably congenital but not very active until after this horrible infection.
I have not had a single anti-biotic since the Dificid C-Diff but now unfortunately I need to take a 7 day 2x a day 100mg Doxycycline course for a vaginal infection. No cream available. I know doxycycline is supposed to be lower risk but with all my other gut issues I’m just not sure. I already have florastor.
Thoughts? Has anyone taken doxycycline post c diff and been okay?
