I was at a craft fair. I love to buy hand crocheted items, jewelry and pottery. A vendor there was selling childrens paperback.books. A used book was 20$ and a new book was $30. They were giftwrapped so you could not know which book you were buying until after you bought it. Each one included a free sticker and a pen

I am not sure who would buy these? Our local thrift stores sell kids books for a dollar and some give them free with purchase. Im just kind of gobsmacked.

I ordered some clothing. I was notified by thredup that the shipment was running late. I get a slip from my local post office saying they have my bag and there is postage due of 13.00. I had paid for shipping when I placed the order so i told the postal employee that i could not accept it because I refuse to pay more for postage. It felt like extortion to me. I contacted thredup and tried to explain this to their AI robot chat worker who did not understand the situation and just said ok we will refund the entire amount of the order 38.00 back to your credit card. They did not offer to pay the 13.00 shipping fee so I could pick up the bag at the post office and did not apologize for the hassle. So i wont get the clothes i ordered and it all gets mailed back to thredup. I won't be ordering from them again. I plan fwiw to make a complaint to the federal trade commission. Probably will go nowhere but i am doing it anyway.
