Chores
Really should be entitled lack there of. So for 4 long years ive been asking my wife why her son doesnt do chores and her response is always she wants him to enjoy his child hood. Fast forward yr 4, hes 14 and barely and rarely does what hes suppose to. Couple weeks ago I came up with a list after ample research of common chores a 14 yrs does in the home and she blew a gasket, im a step parent that coming from me and not her will affect him, we are a family not a business so a chore contract isnt showing much of family connection( the document was a copy paste from a step parent guide that was entitled chores contract).
One of the points was doing chores on time, she greatly resented this one and argued there shouldnt be a time limit on chores as long as their done, well fast forward a day and everyday since then for 6 weeks her son will walk out his room at 3am after he decides hes finished playing video games and half a ss wash the dishes. His only chore for the week. The ENTIRE WEEK. Sadly we have a mountain of other issues associated him but wanted to see if others had issues with chores being done that late.
