I was looking back to Rex when I first got him and I gotta say he’s doing an excellent job of putting on weight! I’m super proud of him!!

Sooo I decided to check Rex’s bulges with a flash light but had no luck
Then I took a look at his femoral pores and they do look slightly bigger than when he first got here so maybe I’m thinking that he’s a boy after all?
What do you guys think tho?
I noticed that as the more that Rex grows his head is turning more and more blue, I know that it’s normal color change but does that give me any indication on the gender?
Also I have noticed that he has this sort of white around his nose and I’ve taken him to the vet they said he was fine n treated him with silver sulf but it just doesn’t go away. What is this? (Picture on last slide)

Okay so based on everybody’s recommendation I will b giving Rex the mazuri diet n ofc all along with his leafs, the dry food will b soaked and only given as treats. What would b good? Once a week or can they b given sooner?
Also my goal for Rex is for him to b at 100g by his first birthday (if he surpasses his goal then that’s great!!) His birthday is September 21st and he’s currently 68g. Is that a good healthy goal weight?
I will b doing a weekly check in every Sunday regarding any changes

Hi guyssss. I wanted to let you all know that it’s been 200 days since I met Rex :3. We’re still working on getting to know each other since he’s still kinda scared of being handled. But we will get there strong 💪
I don’t know why I worry to much about Rex’s weight
I know iguanas his age (9 months) should be weighing 150g minimum
My Rex is nearly at 65g. He does eat good, temps reaching top 105F with a uvb long bulb
I need opinions on this am I overworrying?
Rex came to my life almost 7 months ago, I believe he was around 2 months when I first got him. So he’s almost 9 months :3
He came with a retained shed on his finger so I had to get it amputated because the finger turned necrotic. And recently as u may know my brother went to go mist his enclosure and he escaped resulting in his tail dropping
Overall it’s been a great experience owning an iguana haha
even tho he’s still very terrified of me (advice needed for taming) I love him sooo much guys
Hi all, it’s been a while since I updated about Rex and im happy to say that he’s doing so good, he’s finally putting on some weight, slowly but surely. Tail growth has been successful and also I wanted to ask a question, Rex ate about three times today when I was at school by himself. Should I stop hand feeding him in the morning and in the afternoon or keep the same schedule?( which is I hand feed him every morning, leave him a bowl of greens throughout the day, and hand feed him at dinner) or is that too much?
