New joint claim after review phone call confusion
Hi, I wrote in here the other day about a mistake I had which was a completely honest mistake which I didn’t know about. I moved in with my partner 2 years ago he is self employed and because we had to separate incomes and his money is his and mine is mine I didn’t realise I had to make it a joint claim. They are currently looking into this which has extremely stressed me out as it was completely unintentional as I was going through a lot at the time and wasn’t in the right frame of mind I just click on change address and didn’t look into it properly which is completely my own fault.
But they have got us to make a joint claim now (we don’t want to claim UC as he would earn to much and I know I’ll have to do repayments for my mistake) but they have got us to make a joint claim and now wanting him to come in for a face to face appointment? This is to do with our new joint claim not my mistake. I’m heavily pregnant and this has extremely stressed me out to the point I ended up in hospital over it all. Why do they need us to make a joint claim when we don’t want to claim we just want the mistake I’ve made fixed.
I hope that wasn’t too confusing
Before anyone says anything this was completely unintentional I never knew I had to make it a joint claim and I just want it all sorted now
